U.S. (WiredPRNews.com) – Experts are now looking to algae to help in the war over climate change. As reported by AFP, the organism is being viewed as a potential viable source of renewable energy, which has prompted labs and companies across the nation to find a way to mass produce algae fuel. George Philippidis, Florida International University in Miami applied research director, is quoted by AFP as stating of the potential of using algae for fuel, “I think it’s very realistic. I don’t think it’s going to take 20 years. It’s going to take a few years.” Philippidis is further quoted as stating, “We could hook up to the exhaust of polluting industries… We could capture it and feed it to algae and prevent that CO2 from contributing to further climate change.” WiredPRNews.com – The latest in Green News Photo Credit: Wikipedia User Stef Maruch Come And Visit
