Miss Nebraska Crowned 2018 Miss USA [PHOTOS]

Miss Nebraska Sarah Rose Summers was crowned 2018 Miss USA Monday night in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The evening started out with 51 contestants and ended with the 23-year-old beauty from Omaha beating out Miss Nevada and Miss North Carolina in the top three to take home the crown, according to USA Today. She becomes the first Miss Nebraska to ever win the pageant, Omaha’s KETV 7 reports

Summers, a graduate of Texas Christian University, will represent the United States at the 2018 Miss Universe competition later this year held in the Philippines.

According to the Miss USA website, she will spend “her reign traveling the country, developing and representing her platforms, and raising awareness and funds for charitable initiatives.”
