    Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a global gathering of political, business and thought leaders at the 48th World Economic Summit in Davos. He is the first prime minister in more than two decades to address the forum after the former prime minister Deve Gowda attended the summit in 1997.

    Here are the ten most important highlights from his speech. The Prime Minister said:

    * World is faced with three major challenges: Climate Change, terrorism and protectionsim.

    * India is well poised to become a five trillion dollar economy by 2025 saying that the governmnet has opened up all areas of the economy to foreign direct investment.

    * India is removing red tape and laying out red carpet for the investor community emphasising that the government has done away with more than 1,400 archaic laws that stifled free enterprise.

    * The path chosen by the government is that of reform, perform and transform.

    * With focus on entrepreneurship, the youth has become job giver and not just a job seeker.

    * Global data flow has become has assumed significance in the modern world and whoever manages to control it will rule the world.

    * People of India have welcomed the policies of this government.

    * India is a destination for welness along with wealth, wholeness along with health and peace along with prosperity.

    * Since the last time an Indian Prime Minister attended the forum, India's economy has growth six times.

    * It is dangerous to create distinction between good terrorism and bad terrorism.
