In 2017, the import volumes of soybean oil to Belarus reached the minimum level for 6 recent years, and totaled 411 tonnes only (6.5 thsd tonnes in 2016), declared the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

According to APK-Inform experts, the country reduced the imports of soybean oil in terms of lowering of consumption volumes by the major buyers, and the growth of soybean processing on the Belarusian domestic market.

In 2017, Ukraine became the key supplier of the product to Belarus (78.8%).
